Hello my dear students!

My name is Johann Amos Comenius, but most people call me John. I was born on March 28, 1596 in Moravia, but to you all it would be the Czech republic. I am the only son of respected members of the Protestant group called Bohemian Brethren. My parents died when I was ten, therefore I was sent off to live with my aunt. Pansophism is a system of education for all people to be made knowledgeable about the world, able to judge its events for themselves, and able otherwise to generate and sustain the conditions of progress. In shorter terms, it is the possession of universal knowledge. I put this idea into effect with my first illustrated textbook titled "The Great Didactic". Not only was this book appropriate for the classroom, but it was also good for independent learning. My next book "Orbis Sensualim Pictus" taught about conversation, by pairing letters with different creatures or natural phenomenon that could be heard to make a similar sound. Pansophism applies effective teaching based on the natural gradual growth from simple to more comprehensive concepts. It also supports lifelong learning and development of logical thinking by straying away from plain old memorization and making learning more enjoyable. I spent many years travelling to different countries upon request to manage different school systems. The effects of pansophism are broad from education for women to equal opportunity for impoverished children.

I hope this has helped you see my influence on the education system and I pray that one day you too may be able to develop an effective way the make the public education system better as I have done. Thank you!
